Description
Fudgy chocolate brownie triangles with ganache and easy green icing garlands.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted (226 g)
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar (250 g)
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar (150 g)
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder (85 g)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (120 g)
- 1 tsp fine salt
- 6 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped (170 g)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (120 ml)
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar (120 g)
- 1-2 tbsp milk (15-30 ml)
- Green gel food coloring and festive sprinkles
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a 9×13-inch light metal pan with parchment.
- Whisk melted butter with both sugars, eggs, and vanilla until glossy.
- Fold in cocoa, flour, and salt just until no dry streaks remain. Spread evenly in the pan.
- Bake 24-29 minutes, until the center carries moist crumbs. Cool completely, then chill 30 minutes.
- Lift out the slab, trim the edges, and cut into rectangles. Slice each rectangle diagonally into triangles.
- Pour hot cream over chopped chocolate, rest 2 minutes, and stir smooth. Spread a thin layer over each triangle and let set.
- Mix confectioners’ sugar, milk, and green coloring into a pipeable icing. Add garlands and restrained sprinkles.
Notes
Chill the slab before cutting and decorate only after the thin ganache coating has set.
